As we start a new year, we are filled with gratitude for the incredible support we have received from individuals like you. Thanks to your generosity, Family & Children’s Service (FCS) has been able to assist over 5,000 individuals and families in need through our programs and services.

However, our work is far from over. As we look ahead, we remain committed to our mission to provide compassionate care, intervention and education to people during challenging times in their lives. At FCS we also recognize new issues affecting some of the most vulnerable members of our community—our low-income senior citizens.

The seniors in the FCS programs are on fixed incomes and dealing with chronic health issues. These clients are often homebound and without family and external resources.  As the cost of living continues to rise, our elderly clients are struggling to meet even their most basic needs, including food, housing, medical care, and utilities. Many are often dealing with empty refrigerators and pantries when we visit, and we have seen first-hand the neediest become more and more indigent over the past year.

At FCS, we are dedicated to ensuring that no senior citizen must choose between essential expenses. However, the demand for assistance has increased significantly, and we find ourselves in urgent need of additional funding to sustain and expand our programs.
