THANK YOU to the more than 100 golfers who turned out to support FCS at our 2017 FCS Golf Classic on Monday, July 24th at Deal Golf & Country Club. The event, co-chaired by FCS Board members Anthony Frigoletto and Mark Stoll, is expected to raise more than $40,000 to support FCS’ fourteen diverse programs and services that assist people in need throughout Monmouth County.
Clouds and rain dominated the morning skyline threatening rain, but the skies transitioned to sunshine by early afternoon making for a beautiful spring-like day on the course. Twenty one teams of foursomes and threesomes competed in a best-ball format for team and individual hole prizes, including a $5,000 Putting Green contest and $10,000 Hole-in-One contest sponsored by Boynton and Boynton, a Hit-the-Green Challenge sponsored by Wells Fargo and a Hole-in-One car sponsored by Ray Catena Auto Group.
Following the outing, golfers enjoyed a surf-and-turf lobster dinner inside the clubhouse. the evening included an awards dinner, fifty-fifty raffle and a silent auction that included luxury golf equipment, gift certificates to local restaurants, tickets to sporting events and foursomes at other private clubs. The committee’s efforts, coupled with the support and enthusiasm of FCS staff, volunteers and participating golfers helped make this year’s fundraiser a huge success.
