Honoring Gloria Nilson

gloria-nilson-lgWe are honored to recognize Gloria Nilson for her exemplary support of Family and Children’s Service and her ongoing commitment to community
service.

An iconic name in New Jersey real estate for more than 30 years, Gloria established her company, Gloria Nilson Realtors, in a small Monmouth County office in 1977. Possessing what she describes as “an inner drive to succeed”, Gloria grew the company into a multi-million dollar business with many offices throughout the Garden State. She has since sold the company, but her imprint remains and she continues to be an active, successful sales associate, earning dozens of industry awards and high praise from her
professional colleagues.

Gloria applies this same passion and commitment to community service. For more than a quarter century, Gloria has been a leading benefactor of FCS, generously contributing to the agency’s Annual Fund, and lending her support to FCS fundraising events including Paint it Forward and the annual FCS Leading Lights Gala. Gloria is also a founding member of the FCS Corporate Advisory Board, providing expertise and advocacy on behalf of the agency in the community. Her commitment to service extends to other organizations and institutions as well. Gloria serves on the Board of the Monmouth Museum, the Monmouth Medical Center (MMC) Foundation and the Monmouth Conservation Foundation. She is a founding Board member of the Women’s Council for Cancer Center at MMC and was the first female Chair-person of the Business Council of the Monmouth University Leon Hess Business School where she also sits on the Dean’s Council.

We thank Gloria for her unmatched generosity and relentless commitment to community service. Her contributions continue to enable FCS to meet and expand its Mission and Vision to protect and preserve the dignity and independence of all people in need.
