Arlene Lospinoso

We are so pleased to announce that former FCS Board Chair and our current FCS Navarumsunk Auxiliary President Arlene Lospinoso was recently awarded the Junior League of Monmouth County’s 2016 Women Making a Difference Community Volunteer Award!  The JLMC initiated the award three years ago “ …to recognize the many valuable contributions being made by women volunteers in our local community.” Arlene was one of 15 women nominated for the award by representatives of area nonprofit organizations.

Arlene is certainly an exemplary volunteer! She began her volunteer career with the FCS Phalanx Auxiliary more than 30 years ago, eventually becoming its president.  She served as an FCS Board member until 2012, including a two-year term as Board president, before joining the Navarumsunk Auxiliary, where she currently serves as its president.

As Auxiliary president, Arlene leads a devoted group of women to organize and host two significant fundraisers each year – a successful Luncheon and Fashion Show for 200 guests every May and a Bridge Tournament for 100+ players in September.  In addition, Arlene and her husband, Maurice initiated FCS’s “Day at the Races” at Monmouth Park, a long-standing annual event has helped raise thousands of dollars throughout the years for FCS and brought many new friends to the agency.

Arlene is a warm, generous and sincere woman who treats each person she meets with respect and dignity. She thrives on connecting with people and doesn’t miss an opportunity to familiarize them with the work of FCS.

Arlene was presented the award on Friday, November 4th by New Jersey Lt Gov. Kim Guadagno and we were delighted to receive a $1,000 donation from the Junior League to celebrate Arlene’s award.  Arlene was joined at the luncheon by her husband, Maurice, and almost 30 friends from FCS, the Auxiliary, her church and her neighborhood.

Our heartiest congratulations to Arlene and deep gratitude for your extraordinary commitment to FCS and our community!
